Disney is just special. It can be a park, a cruise, or a resort but its that undeniable Disney Magic. Its the little things that other companies try to mimic- immaculate parks, perfect uniforms, polite hosts, clean bathrooms, fast load times, entertainment during lines, and the perfect amount of background music. Its the details. Every detail is carefully approached. And that attention to details delivered a wonderful egg searching experience for us at Disneyland Hong Kong. We didn’t know about the event until we had noticed several eggs…..and the hunt was on! We were pleasantly surprised to discover there were nearly 100 eggs (character and non-character) hidden throughout the park!

Here is a run-down of the eggs we found in the various areas….

Note– We didn’t have a map or a list with us and we didn’t look online for hints.

Main Street

Main Street was full of eggs. The crowds covered several of them on our first pass, but we found several when we returned at a lower crowd time. The 5 characters from Inside Out (Joy, Saddness, Disgust, Anger, and Fear) where hidden aove the Amination theatre and we spotted them on the train. In the Main Street Square, there was Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Duffy, StellaLou, ShellieMay, and Gelantoni. Further down were Chip, Dale, Mike, Sulley. Baymax and Hiro were near City Hall. Mikey and Sulley were at the very end of Main Street towards Tomorrowland. Zootopia buddies Nick and Judy were also on Main Street. Olaf was nearly hidden in Main Street on the way to Adventureland. We had scoured the park looking for Olaf (our daughter was convinced there HAD to be an Olaf- and she was correct).

Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland was full of Disney action characters! We found characters from Star Wars: C3PO, R2D2, BB8, Darth Vader (and his Stormtroopers).  Representing The Incredibles were Helen, Bob, and Frozone. The Black Panter, Iron Man, Spiderman, Antman, Groot, and Rocket rounded out Tomorrowland

Adventureland

The Lion King characters (Simba, Timon, Pumba) were above the entrance to the Festival of the Lion King show. Hei Hei (my personal favorite) and Pua were near the raft to Tarzan’s Island. Baloo, King Louie, and Kaa were also found (which we spotted from the train and then tracked down). Near our new favorite ride (Grizzly Gulch) were Rocky, Mother Lode, Nugget, and Lucky (the dog). These characters were created for the ride at Disneyland Hong Kong and do not appear in a movie or show. Near Mystic Manor (our second favorite right at this park) was Albert (the Monkey) in a very non-mischevious display. Albert is another character created for this park.

Toy Story Land

I think Toy Story Land is my favorite area. The giant tinker toys, slinky dog, RC racers and parachute men are just so much fun! Every display is so colorful and FUN! We found Buzz Lightyear (he was hidden really well), Woody, Jessie, Lostso, the Aliens, and Hamm and Rex.

Fantasyland

Many old and favorite characters of Disney were found here: Sorcerer Mickey, Kanga, Roo, Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Tinkerbell, Beauty and the Beast (Beast, Chip, Ms Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth), and Alice in Wonderland (Alice, Chesire Cat, White Rabit, Mad Hatter Twidledee and Twidledum). We were shocked that Dumbo was not an egg- and we looked really hard! And no eggs by It’s a Small World, so if you bypass that area, you didn’t miss any! I think many eggs from Fantasyland were reassigned since Aurora’s Castle in under renovation.

Outside of the Parks

The Seven Dwarfs were at Disneyland Hotel. While Nemo and Dori were at the Explorers Lodge.

We will be at Disney Tokyo in a couple weeks…and hopefully there will be more eggs to find!
